We are pleased to welcome a new Doosan VT900 vertical turning centre to the MPM workshop, significantly enhancing our turning capabilities and increasing our maximum turning diameter capacity to Ø900mm.

Powered by a 40kW spindle, the VT900 enables us to machine larger and more demanding components while improving capacity and responsiveness for our customers.

Installing the machine was a major project in itself. To accommodate the VT900, we reconfigured part of the workshop, relocating existing equipment and retiring two older machines to make way for the latest technology. The installation also required modifications to our overhead crane and specialist groundwork to ensure the machine was securely positioned for optimum performance and rigidity.

The four-day installation was completed through excellent teamwork between MPM and Mills CNC, ensuring the machine was commissioned efficiently and ready for production as quickly as possible.

Following training, our operators were producing parts on the machine from day one. This latest investment forms part of our ongoing commitment to modernising our facility, increasing capacity, and delivering even greater value to our customers.
