CNC Turning

MPM offer high quality precision CNC turning and have a wide range of turning capacity from high batch small component work on our barfeed lathes, to Ø900mm diameter work on our brand new vertical turning centre – the Doosan VT900.

CNC Milling

Our milling range is even wider than our turning, our largest CNC vertical machine centre will machine parts or fixtures with a range of 2100mm x 1700mm x 1200mm (height). From the more intricate work to the most heavy duty, our four VMCs can handle any challenge whilst remaining extremely adaptable.

5-Axis Machining

Our twin Doosan DVF 5000s are the two busiest machines in the shop thanks to their wonderful functionality and the skills our team have in putting them through their paces. Like a lot of our work, these can do some real heavy duty work as well as the most accurate. The range on these is 625mm x 450mm x 400mm (height).

Jig Boring

Our CNC capabilities continue in very unique format with our SIP 640, one of the most impressive and accomplished machines of its time. Its accuracy and repeatability is unparalleled and has produced some of the most outstanding work in the fields of defence and aerospace in the last 30 years.

Manual Milling

Sometimes it’s more practical to use manual milling and turning methods on certain projects. Whilst being excellent to train our thriving younger generation of engineers, many members of our team have decades of experience so love handling some of the most challenging materials and projects.

We offer a small range of surface grinding and our links with partner organisations further bolster our surface grinding capacities tenfold. We have a huge experience in surface grinding thanks to our amalgamation with grinding experts Datumbase a decade ago.
